New Year Celebrations

Kung Hei Fat Choy! Wave goodbye to the rabbit and welcome in the Year of the Dragon! Come join us as we celebrate and discover the Chinese New Year! For the entire week we will be featuring art activities and fun facts including dragon crafts, good luck door hangers, paper lanterns and much more!

 

 

Wednesday, February 1: Elmo’s Birthday
Bash 10-11am

Meet the loveable, huggable Elmo! Kick up your heels as we dance and sing in celebration of Elmo‟s birthday. Today is all about the color red – make an Elmo cupcake and come dressed in red to get a prize!
*Festivities included with admission

Chocolate Factory Festival Friday,

February 3rd 5-8PM

The museum will become a chocolate lover’s haven. In addition to learning how chocolate is made children will have a variety of interactive activities to enjoy that include: a chocolate playdough station,  a chocolate chopstick challenge, a chocolate river, a bakery where children can role play and shop for treats, face painting, yummy bites bingo, and a flowing chocolate fountain with lots of delicious items for dipping. Jody Fitz from the Price Chopper Kids Cooking Club will be leading hands on chocolate activities. The movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory will be shown throughout the evening. Pizza and soda will be available for a fee at our old-fashioned 1940’s Soda Fountain.   Reduced admission is $6.00 per person, Imagine Nation Museum members and children under one are free.  ACM memberships and library passes are not accepted for this special event. Friday, February 10: Valentine Teddy
Bear Tea 11am-12:30pm

Little ladies & gentlemen are invited for a delightful tea party! Bring along your teddy bear and together we‟ll enjoy dainty finger sandwiches and valentine cookies. Create sweet treats and valentine fames.
$5/members, $12/non-members

In celebration of Black History Month, join Team ESPN and Jay Harris, ESPN Sports Center anchor, for an inspirational book reading. Music by the Bristol Eastern Jazz Combo.

 

Thursday, February 23: Dental Health Day
9:30am-5pm

February is dental health month. Visit with pediatric dentist„s for informative sessions all about healthy habits for terrific teeth! Join us for this all day event as we learn and create healthy smiles.

 

Friday, February 24: National Engineers
Day 10-4pm

Children will have the opportunity to work with G.E. volunteers to learn about engineering fun, and to design and construct exciting hands-on projects.

 

Wednesday, February 29: Leap Day!

It only happens every four years so save the date! Make a paper plate leap day frog, pin the crown on the Frog Prince, and come join us in Musical Lily Pads as we celebrate and learn about this wonderful day!

 

 

Friday, March 4: First Friday Family Festival

Experience the magical world of Leprechauns and Irish traditional culture!

 

Wednesday, March 14: Girls Night Out

Come join us in learning to create a beautiful scrapbook keepsake for future generations! Learn the styles and techniques of scrapbooking and how it allows you to view the special people in your life! (Please bring a few memorable photos to work with)

Health Clinic 9-12pm

Join us at our Healthy Nation Exhibit and bring your teddy bear or stuffed animal for a checkup by our volunteer health professionals! Families are able to visit additional stations to learn about developmental health and wellness lifestyles.
