June Events

Friday, June 5: Strawberry Festival, 5-8 pm
Make chocolate-covered strawberries! Sample strawberry jams, jellies and treats from local vendors! Enter our "Humongous Strawberry Contest" (bring your own super-sized strawberry to win!) Learn how to grow your own strawberry patch! Enjoy strawberry Sundaes and Milkshakes at our old-fashioned Soda Fountain!
Special appearance by Strawberry Shortcake! Pizza and ice cream available in our Soda Fountain.
Reduced admission price of $4.00 per person. Sponsored by the Bristol Mayor's Tourism Entertainment Arts & Museums (T.E.A.M.) Committee. 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Saturday, June 13: Picnic Day, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
To celebrate Connecticut' s Open House Day, visit the Imagine Nation Museum for the season's "First Picnic." Learn how to make a perfect picnic while you enjoy picnic-themed crafts in our art area and hear delightful picnic stories. 11:30 am performance by Reach for the Stars Dancers of Terryville, CT! The first 150 visitors receive FREE admission to the museum! In cooperation with the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism. Sponsored by the Bristol Mayor's T.E.A.M. Committee.
Wednesday, June 17: Girls Night Out "Yoga for You", 6:00-7:30 pm
Yoga promotes strength, flexibility, coordination and posture! Learn yoga from a professional yoga instructor who will demonstrate proper yoga positions and relaxation techniques. A non-competitive exercise that everyone can enjoy!

For girls ages 8-13 and their mother or significant woman in their lives. Please dress in comfortable workout clothes A light dinner and dessert will be served.
This is a free program funded by The Women’s and Girl’s Fund of the Main Street Community Foundation. “Girls Night Out” is a series of programs designed to emphasize skills that will help girls be prepared to lead a successful life. Registration is limited. Call soon to pre-register!

Wednesday, June 24: 50 Days of Summer Begin!
This summer the Imagine Nation Museum is celebrating the 50 days of Summer with special crafts and programs all summer long! From honeybees to watermelon seeds, we'll have something special every day! Events run from June 24th to August 23rd. Click here for a (pdf format) list of all 50 days!

Tuesday, June 30: Bring a Banana Night, 6:30-9:00 pm
Coming to the Bristol Parks & Recreation Summer Concert at Brackett Park? Then stop on by the Imagine Nation Museum Soda Fountain for a special treat! Bring your own banana for a $2.00 banana split! Come see Dole's Bobby Banana! Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Wednesday, July 15: Girls Night Out : "Delicious and Nutritious" 6:00-7:30 pm
Healthy eating is a way of balancing the food you eat to keep your body strong, energized, and well-nourished. This program is created to help you learn about healthy eating and ways to plan nutritious meals and snacks. When you eat well, you are taking good care of your body! A certified nutritionist will be presenting at this event.

Friday, August 7: First Friday Carnival! 4-8 pm

Carnival games, amusements, and entertainment! Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Pizza and more! All Museum indoor exhibits open too! Reduced admission of $4.00 per person, children under one are free. 4:00-8:00pm. Pizza and soda are available for purchase at our old-fashioned Soda Fountain.

September Events

Friday, September 4 : Touch-a-Truck Festival
Kids young and old will have a blast climbing aboard the many vehicles coming to the Imagine Nation Museum! Some examples of the trucks you'll see are a fire truck, ambulance, backhoe, dump truck, tractor, snow plow and semi. Plus, jump inside our exciting Monster Truck bounce house and join in lots of other fun truck-related activities in the museum! Reduced admission of $4.00 per person, children under one are free. 5:00-8:00pm. Pizza and soda are available for purchase at our old-fashioned Soda Fountain.

Saturday, September 12: Imagine Nation Museum "Funtastic" 5th Year Gala
Save the Date! Come celebrate our museum's 5th year birthday! Entertainment, Food, Silent Auction.
6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Adults only. For more information, call 314-1400.
