Bubbles are the cleanest yet messiest fun you can have! Learn about the science of air, gas and surface tension. Have fun blowing and catching bubbles and creating an original bubble painting.

Have a hands-on encounter with two of our residents from our Wildlife Studio. Learn about their habitats, diets and camouflage, and document their features through sketching & graphing.

Through movement and discovery we identify the basic parts of plants and take an up-close look at live roots. Name and sort plant parts and complete a seed growing project to take home.

Kaleidoscope of Colors(K-2nd)
Kaleidoscopes are a wonderful way to learn about the magic of light, color and symmetry. Students will build their own kaleidoscope.

Tower of Power(K-2nd)
Students learn “fun”damental principles of architecture and geometry as they are challenged to engineer their own tower out of “sweet” materials. Engage in fantastic feats of engineering!

Newton Says(1st-2nd)
An introduction to friction, inertia, gravity and Newton’s Three Laws of Motion. This workshop culminates with each student building a hovercraft.

Chemistry Creations (1st-2nd)
While we explore different states of matter and the science of chemistry, we’ll mix, measure and manipulate substances to make oozing and slimy creations.

Compost Casserole(1st-2nd)
An eco-friendly program all about recycling and composting. We analyze dirt and investigate nature’s natural composter, the mighty earthworm. Make a classroom composter.
