Museum Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Museum open for self-exploration?
Yes! Imagine Nation is open for self-exploration Monday through Friday from 9:30 – 4:30 and we offer a STEAM workshop each day at 10:30 am, free with admission. We are also open select weekends and evenings for special events such as Storybook Literacy, Childrens Festival of Art, and Science Saturday.

Do you still do Birthday Parties?
Yes, we do and they are very popular! Birthday Parties include educator lead activities, the café space for setting up your party, and self-exploration within the museum. During warmer months, we also use the Outdoor Learning Park. The part families love the most is having the museum to themselves! Spots fill up fast so it helps to plan in advance.

Where can I park?
The entrance to our parking lot is on Upson Street behind the museum. You can also park on Pleasant Street in front of the museum or across the street in the Church lot. The front door is the only access door and there is a doorbell.

Is there still a café to order food?
Unfortunately, we do not have food for sale in our café, however you can bring your own lunch or a snack to eat in the café during your visit.

Do you have gift certificates or memberships?
While we don’t have memberships at this time, you can definitely purchase gift certificates that can be used for any program or event.

Can we visit by just walking in?
Absolutely! For the safety of all guests, the building is assessable for entry by ringing the buzzer. Someone will let you in! Our hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 – 4:30. You might want to call ahead or check our website or facebook page for holiday or training closures.

How can I hear about events?
You can sign up to be on our email list on our website or at our front desk. You can also check out our Facebook or Instagram page or website. Our events and programs are also on Eventbrite.

What ages are appropriate for the museum?
The museum is designed for children ages 1 to 8. We have a Playful Learners group for under 3 although families can opt to self-explore with their little one too. There are times when we have special events such as science days where we design activities for children up to age 10. If you have a child that is a little older but very into science, art, or animals – give us a call, we have lots of fun activities up our sleeve!

How much is general admission?
$10.00 per person over the age of 1. Special pricing is sometimes available for programs brought to us in part by grants.

Are you an accessible facility?
We strive to be inclusive and accessible for all abilities. We do have an elevator. We also do have noise-cancelling headphones that can be signed out should your child desire them.
